Yes, for sure.  Intuition tells me to wait to hear back from Lifeforce.

Well, I hope it's not overly priced if you do buy it.  And if you do I hope it would be an actual copy of the original one made by him.

Interesting they would sell this at Neiman Marcus.... wallmart of the wealthy.

Here is an interesting article/interview on the watch and ELF work which branches into the rather interesting work of Mind Control and ELF effects.

Andrija Puharich, MD - (born Karel Puharić, February 19, 1918 - January 3, 1995) was a medical and parapsychological researcher, medical inventor and author, who is perhaps best known as the person who brought Israeli Uri Geller and Dutch-born Peter Hurkos (1911-1988) to the United States for scientific investigation.

SURFING THE E.L.F. WAVES WITH ANDRIJA PUHARICH

Radar blob: 'Whatever it was' versus what we know it wasn't - Page 4 Puharich

(appeared in Reality Hackers Magazine 1988)

    by Lawrence Gerald

Andrija Puharich was one of the world's leading innovotive scientists. {He passed away in 1995.} His primary work had been to bridge parapsychology and medicine. An experimental researcher and physician, he had numerous patents granted in medicine, electronics, with some being used for the treatment of hearing loss.

Over twenty years ego, while on the faculty of N.Y.U., Puharich began studying the Brazilian heaIer, Arigo. He is featured in a book called "Arigo: Surgeon of the Rusty Knife" by John G. Fuller. He became more controversial in orthodox circles when he described his uncanny experiences with Uri Ge1ler in his 1974 best-se11ing book," Uri." His books, "The Sacred Mushroom" and "Beyond Telepathy" chronicIed some of the work at his research center in Maine where he collaborated with Bucky Fuller, Aldous Huxley, Harry Stone and Peter Hurkos.

Seeing that humanity faced a critical surviva1 test - neutralizing AIDS --Puharich focused his energies on this challenge.toward the end of his life. It was during a 1987 N. Y. C. Psycho-tronics Conference on Disease ond Biological Warfare Control that Puharich spoke to his colleagues on the subject of Extremely Low Frequency (E.L.F.) emissions. He believes that the re1ationship between electromagnetic force fields and healing could 1ead to novel scientific breakthroughs. Afterwards, Reality Hackers, Lawrence Gerald talked with Puharich about his scientific work, and was treated to some candid and revealing remarks about the politics in the world of parapsychology.

Andrija Puharich: An incredible but absolutely truescene took place when Uri Geller was working on onefloor at Stanford Research Institute (SRI). They had Geller bending metal, teleporting things, demonstrating incidents of telepathy and clairvoyance-these things were happening all of the time. Well, unbeknownst to us at the time, there was another lab upstairs for ARPA-a computer network system. Somebody put two and two together and said: "Hey, there's a crazy kid downstairs who is bending metal and levitating things." So they cross-correlated and discovered that when Uri did something the computers would go wacko: program printouts would pop out - sometimes partly erased --- the power supply would go out on them and so on. "Somebody can affect the computer!" Panic ensued. A squad of colonels came out from Washington to sniff around and watch Uri do his thing. They came to me and said, "You know, our whole defense system is on computers and magnetic tapecards. Can this guy wipe them out? Would you cooperate?" So we took Geller to Bell Labs and to the Livermore Radiation Lab and they put together an elaborate set-up for magnetic shielding. They learned that he could wipe out anything on computer tape. They said to me, "This guy could start World War 3!"

The SRI incident was witnessed by a lot of very credible people. Captain Edgar Mitchell, the APOLLO astronaut who walked on the moon, was the overseer of the project. Russell Targ and Hal Puthoff conducted the experiments. Also participating on the team were John Hastead of Berbeck College in England; David Bohm, the great theoretician of Quantum physics, andNobel Laureate Brian Josephson. There were about 40 people on the team.

Later the Secret Service came to me and asked if Geller could activate the HotLine between Moscow and Washington. I said, "I think he could but I don't think he cares to. You'd have to pay him to do so." They said they would then consider him a "Higher Intelligence."

    Reality Hackers: Or Hired Intelligence!

Yeah! By then I'd taken Uri to England, Norway, Europe. Hundreds of kids started to bend metal as a result of seeing him, either on tv or in person. So I told these Government agents that there's a lion running right through all their countries. Any kid on a caper could blow up the whole thing. It's too late! So I think they gave up the idea of killing Geller. It didn't seem practical anymore.
The next idea was to discredit Geller through a disinformation campaign developed by Ray Hyman and "Amazing" Randi. These turkeys concocted a smokescreen around Geller so that no one would take him seriously.

Do you know about Randi? Randi works for the Disinformation Department in the Department of Defense-high level research projects. He startedworking there in 1973. He makes things difficult forlegitimate psychic researchers. We can never get Randi to debate publicly. Peter Hurkos, the psychic, and myself, have challenged him and he won't deal with us. Yet the average Joe would say "Geller's a fake. Randi proved it." So they've done a good job-the Disinformation Squad. But it's all horseshit, you know.

Sounds like a Max Headroom plot. What became of SRI?

It became a CIA research center- even to this day. I know this because I trained many of the psychics involved in the psychic warfare operation. I could tell you names, places, all that garbage. There are smokescreens deliberately set up to discredit parapsychology research or keep what they know concealed.

When was the last time you spoke with Geller? When I was in London (July '87). Uri did get prosperous enough that he's able to live around the world. A recent article reported that he made forty million dollars being in show business.
Not bad for an Extra-Terrestrial. What about your own career? You've achieved a certain amount of credibility in the straight scientific community, considering what you're doing.

Well, I've done my share of straight work. But you haven't been afraid to risk your reputation doing parapyschology. Some people worry about it. Your reputation is like a woman's hymen. Once you've lost it, it's gone forever. Right?

And a certain freedom opens up. If your reputation's at issue, it may mean that you're on to something. When you're a pioneer, you have to take risks. The risks never bothered me. The fun overcomes all of that. I'll never regret the time I spent in Brazil studying Arigo and bringing his amazing abilities to the attention of the world. It was rough-being an M.D.and teaching at N.Y.U. The dean was always calling me up, "What.the hell ya doing?! " But they couldn't get me off the research project with Arigo. The county medical society called me in and I told them, "It's all real." I arranged for them to have a viewing of some film of Arigo in action. And they loved it!

When did you first meet Arigo?

Back in '61. I repeatedly took teams of doctors with me to study him up 'til about 1968. When you're there watching him operate, you can't believe it's real. It shocks every sensibility. A guy walks up to him and Arigo says, "You've got a cancer near the pancreas. Pull up your shirt. Drop your pants." He pulls out a knife, opens it up, cuts open the intestine and glues the two ends together and somehow-just like that-the person is healed! There would be a couple hundred people lined up around his house waiting to be next. The average treatment was about two minutes. All this was done without anaesthesia or antisepsis.

What's really amazing is he'd do all of this without insurance!

(laughter!) It made medical practice look foolish. He made us look like idiots. We know nothing and he knew everything.
So the book "Arigo, Surgeon of the Rusty Knife," by John Fuller, was the only well-publicized information that came out about this work. Did you try and bring him to the U.S

I tried, but it was impossible because of the medical pressure. When you're in this field, you have special import immigration status for people with exceptional ability. That's how I was able to bring in Peter Hurkos and Uri. But AMA pressure was too great. It was easier to go down to Brazil to the culture he was working in.

You've said that all the truly great psychics are working for the same intelligence.

It's the only thing that's gonna save us. These psychics are under the influence of a super high power. Peter Hurkos is {was} a top psychic for the U.S. Government. If there's a radar signature coming over the North Pole that looks like a missile, you'd think they'd call up the technical experts. No, they call up Peter. In ten seconds, he can tell if it's a dud or if it's real, and where it's going. That's a heavy responsibility.

With all of your hobnobbing with psychics, have you ever wanted to go gambling with them?

Just once, many years ago. I went to Las Vegas with a business partner. There were four of us, two werepsychic. We were looking to break the odds. We had about $20 to play with and our aim was to use our psychokinetic ability. There was one guy to pick out the best table, another to place the bet, and one to roll the dice. After three hours we had twenty thousand. That was my only experiment with that.

You have finished a new book, "The Magnetic Model of Matter." You also have some unique inventions , such as the Farady Cage, hearing aids, and the ideascope.(a special strobe light). All these can be seen as practical applications of your written work. Could you say something about how the Faraday Cage works?

When your're inside it, a psychic, for example, has their performance inccreased by a thousand fold. A Farady cage shields you from the electromagnetic radio waves, allowing only extremely low frequency (E.L.F.) magnetic waves to get through. I don't think there's a psychic warfare research lab that doesn't make use of them today.

Do you have the patent on it?

No. I applied for one but didn't receive it. I had a lawsuit with the Department of Commerce that went on for three years. A famous lawsuit. The judge ruled that the invention couldn't work because E.S.P. doesn't exist. It was a funny case.

    What is the Ideascope?

It's an ordinary strobe light, but very high-powered.You look into this strobe light, a single point source, and you adjust the frequency of the strobe to your own alpha -waves. When that happens, instead of seeing one point, you suddenly see two. It splits. What it does is separate the two halves of the brain functionally. And, what you then see is two circles, one on each point. When you see two circles move together, they form a vesica-pisces. In other words, a fish-like figure with a dark and light space. We've tried this out on sucessful businessmen who never heard of E.S.P., tested them, and they scored greatly!

After five or ten experiences, you're ready for the next stage which involves a video tape with instructions that help you develop concentration levels that lead to out of body experiences at will.

You have one of the most famous published reports of teleportation on record. Uri was walking down a steet in Manhatten and the next thing he knew he ended up 36 miles north at your old home in Ossining, N.Y.

He was with a woman named Maria Janis (she's Gary Cooper's daughter). He left the apartment they were in to go jogging. Within two minutes of leaving 68th and Park, he somehow landed in Ossining which is 36 miles away. I was home alone. I heard this huge crash and thought it was an earthquake. I couldn't find the source of it at first, and then I heard this bleak voice, "Andrija! Andrija! " There he was crumpled up on the floor. He was intact and wasn't hurt at all. I've had a lot of that kind of stuff with Uri.

He's not in control of any of that, is he?

He won't admit it, but I can tell you after researching him for years that he's E.T." Like The Man who Fell to Earth", he just wants to be a regular person.

Wouldn't it be better if he was more in control of the situation?

Maybe it would be for you. He doesn't care. He's bored by the whole thing. I think he's waiting to get off the planet. Everyone thinks of him as a show business personality but his chief work for a long time was being in charge of psychic warfare operations for theIsraeli Army. No matter where he works in the world, he basically works for them.

I've heard that in the '73 Egyptian lsraeli war, he knocked out Egypt's radar.

    I was there.

Wasn't that classified information which somehow got leaked out?

Well, now it's coming out. I asked him if I could talk about it, and he said, "Yeah, I don't care anymore."
Sixteen years of high security and he's had it!

When was the last time you saw a UFO ?

A real UFO? (says this with an amused smile and a twinkle in his eye.) A few months ago. What they do is appear when I'm in danger. They give me a warning and take care of these CIA turkeys and such. But I'm not really interested in UFOs per se, or Uri, or metal bending. They are all just pointers on how the mind works. Nobody in the world ever heard of metal-bending until I started working with Uri. It took me about 10 years until I was able to measure the energy coming out of Uri's hands- which is 7 Hz instead of the usual eight. Now we know more about the nature of electron flow which, in matter, causes metal to bend. This is what I am most interested in right now.

What do you think about superconductivity?

Very competitive research. It's gonna change all of life. I've got a research project in this area as well. All the magnetic energy, the magnetism inside any matter can be expelled, which is probably the way UFOs work. It requires no energy once you get it going.

l notice you are wearing a watch that says "Teslar" on it. Where did you get that?

I have a company called E.L.F.(Extremely Low Frequency) Cocoon Corp. I designed this very sensitive piece of equipment. It gives off an 8 Hz frequency. The watch was a ten-year project. I began to understand that there is a frequency vibration emitted by all these healers. So I developed some unique equipment that could measure this. When healers lay their hands, or energy, on someone, they put out exactly 8 Hz magnetic frequency-the same vibration emmited by crystals. This is universal.

I was concerned about the E.L.F. warfare that the Russians had started using in 1976. They're bombarding everything and everybody. E.L.F. can be real bad for you as it can affect DNA at the right vibration. I spent three years trying to convince the American, British, and Canadian Intelligence communities that the Soviet E.L.F. signal does, indeed, affect the DNA.

At first they thought I was smoking some weird stuff but eventually they understood and acknowledged my ideas. So I developed something that would protect the individual from the E.L.F.-The Teslar. I named it after Nicola Tesla, whom I consider one of my most important teachers. The watch also dramatically lowers high blood pressure and prevents jet lag if you fly with it on.

I have been battling with the C.I.A. for the past two years because they have tried everything to suppress this invention. They don't want anyone to believe that E.L.F. exists and has adverse affects. Of course, now they're using it in covert warfare with the U.S.S.R.

You must have a great dossier! Whenever these agents are having a boring week they must say, "Let's see what Puharich is up to, get his file and see how we can slow him down."

(disguised voice) "He's a prognosticator. We'll get on his trail and follow him." Man's gotta do what he gotta do.
And like they say, "When the going gets tough, the weird turn pro!"
    Yeah!
    ********
Peter Hurkos was a professional psychic who helped police departments all over the country in catching criminals and locating missing persons . He was a popular psychic for the stars in Hollywood between the 60's and 1980's. In 1941 while working as a painter in Holland, Hurkos became psychic after he fell from a ladder and suffered a brain injury. Andrija Puharich discovered him in 1956 and brought him over to the U.S. to do pyschic experiments. He died in 1991 at the age of 77. There is a book about him called "The Amazing World of Peter Hurkos."

Now, from a personal perspective.  Let's not put this guy on a pedestal just yet.  He was very involved in mind control programs.

It's suggested he invented the "tooth implant" right out of some James Bond film eh?

It's also suggested that he "invented" ...THE NINE.

The Nine is some group of ET's that interact with humanity and were first "channeled" by his "GROUP"

An explanation of the Nine by Uri Geller:  http://www.uri-geller.com/books/maverick/maver8.htm

Now Uri was NOT the only one getting the NINE.  It evolved this group of "Egyptian ET Gods"....to various other sources.  Any wonder why I would be interested in this guy's work in Mind Control?

Most that know me would understand that connection.

But I will say...he was most assuredly onto something with the ELF and research that evolved into something much greater.

    In The Thick of It

    Jack Sarfatti

    Jenny and the Nine

In view of the present-day Esalen-Erhard-Yeltsin-Gorbachev
connections , the 1979 Esalen-UFO connection is significant.
Even though I had split with Werner Erhard by late 1977, EST's
Raz Ingrasci phoned me and asked me to meet with Jenny O Conner.
Raz said that Jenny had been sent to Werner by Sir John Whitmore
who had funded Andrija Puharich's collaborations with Uri Geller
back in 1973. Jenny claimed to be channeling messages from "The
Nine" -- the same extra-terrestrials that Puharich wrote about.
In view of my own contact in 1952 I should have been more
diplomatic with Jenny when she came to my apartment at 2 Whiting
Place -- the apartment that Michael Murphy had given me. Jenny
impressed me as total fraud, and I practically kicked her out. I
was verbally very rude. Jenny and The Nine was promptly
installed at Esalen for quite some time overlapping with visits
by the late physicist Heinz Pagels, Congressman Charlie Rose,
Ira Einhorn, and high ranking Russians from Georgy Arbatov's
Moscow Institute of US and Canada, which was influential during
    Gorbachev's watch.

Vallee gives us a very important clue about the occult-Nazi
connection to UFOs and Jenny and The Nine at Esalen on pp. 192 &
193 of _Messengers of Deception_: "...contactee George Adamski
had prewar connections with American fascist leader William
Dudley Pelly, who died in 1965, was the leader of the Silver
Shirts ... Dr. Laughhead, who ... launched Dr. Andrija Puharich
on the tracks of the mythic SPECTRA, is also thought to have
associated with this group." SPECTRA reappears as Jenny O Conner
and THE NINE brought to Esalen by Werner Erhard and Puharich's
    patron Sir John Whitmore.

"Rose ... advocates launching a 'Manhattan Project type'
effort to develop the [psychic] weapons. 'The Soviets are up to
their ass in this stuff,' he told Mc Rae, 'and we shouldn't fall
    behind.'"

Excerpts from "The Nine, channelled by Jenny O'Conner" at
Henry Dakin's laboratory, 3118 Washington St., San Francisco, on
Monday, July 30, 1979. Jim Hickman, Saul Paul Sirag, Roger
Macdonald, Steve Donovan, Trever Alston, Russell Rae and others
    participating:

Saul Paul asks Jenny "Have you ever interacted with Jacques
Vallee?" Jenny says, "We were supposed to. We met Hal Puthoff..I
met your friend." Dakin's transcript reads "discussion of Jack
Sarfatti, and Jenny's meeting with him." The Nine then intervene
speaking through Jenny "Main facilities Houston, Texas."
[transcript incomplete here] Someone asks, "Any other
facilities?" The Nine respond: "A total of 85." Roger Macdonald
asks, "Any other extremely large, not as large as the facilities
in Houston?" Michael Murphy's partner, Jim Hickman says, "There
is NASA, but NASA isn't supposed to be with the military." The
Nine says, "Wilmington ... Byrom, Little Hampshire [piece of
transcript missing], The Mars Project, 1944, 1945, 1948." Roger
Macdonald asks, "What Agency or department of the United States
is the Mars Project?" The Nine, "NSS." Saul Paul says, "It could
be some Navy thing." The Nine, "You called it National Security
Service. They called it just the SS." Saul Paul says, "Secret
Service?" Jim Hickman says, "I can believe that." Hickman asks,
"You talked about Project Henry ..." The Nine, "All CIA
involved." Hickman, "All?" The Nine, "Yes." Later on in
transcript Hickman says, "... Solvitschg'otsk, which is north
east of Moscow, where a great deal of secret military research
is being done. The Nine, "This facility is highly armed and
Soviet's most important work goes on there. Room B12." Jenny,
like Barbarella, takes over her own mind and says, "Can I ask
you about ... and hooking up with the brainwave machine?"

    http://www.whale.to/b/sarfatti.html

Jenny, like Barbarella, takes over her own mind and says, "Can I ask
you about ... and hooking up with the brainwave machine?"

    Please sir...I want some more?

Claims he was set up.  Bored

Taking the stand in his own defense, Einhorn claimed that Maddux was murdered by CIA agents who attempted to frame Einhorn for the crime due to Einhorn's investigations on the Cold War and "psychotronics". After two hours of deliberation, the jury convicted him on October 17, 2002.The following day, he was sentenced to a mandatory life term without the possibility of parole.

    Manson's probable "trigger"?

One more link and reference to Uri and Andrija:

The break with Puharich had to come, releasing Uri as it did into his first real semblance of an independent adult life. But it was as emotional a separation as any between parent and child, and practically ended in legal fisticuffs between the two men. 'I had a row with Andrija,' says Uri. 'He signed me on a contract, he owned me for seven years and all my income. I don't think it was that Andrija locked me into this contract for monetary reasons. He wanted to own me because of what I represented to this alien intelligence I was their tool, and he wanted to own the tool. Andrija was convinced that through me, he was dealing directly with God. I never accepted that, because I am a believer in God, so when Andrija concluded from the messages that this was God speaking directly to him, that, I guess was the first step of me realizing that it went too far.'

'Nevertheless,' Uri continues, 'Everyone around me was telling me how foolish I was. We were very gullible and naive. I had no lawyers, but I threatened the publishers of the book Andrija had just finished on me, Uri, and the whole fight was in London in a hotel room. I wanted him to tear up the contract otherwise I would have refused to endorse Uri. It was a damaging business until we made up again, but after I left him, he started gathering other people around him and he was OK. We saw him a couple of times in America, and when he came to London about eight years later for me to film him - that was just something I wanted to do for posterity - we embraced and hugged each other.'

According to Hal Puthoff, Uri's concern about breaking up with Puharich, a process which was coming to a head during the SRI tests in California, was worrying Uri at a deeper level than the merely financial. Puthoff's memory of his private discussions with Uri at the time on the Puharich question suggest as powerfully as almost any other account just how sincerely Uri believed in his own abilities, even if opponents believed he was enjoying a huge joke at the expense of science. 'Puharich told Uri that if they broke up as a team, Uri would lose his powers,' Puthoff explains. 'Uri spent a lot of quiet time with us asking if we believed that, because he didn't want to lose his powers. He felt obligated to demonstrate his abilities, and he was concerned that if at any time he did the wrong thing ethically, he might lose them. What did we think he should do, did we think Puharich was right, was it possible that somehow Puharich's involvement with him helped strengthen his powers, and so on. It wasn't a con thing. He was genuinely concerned and he kept coming back to it.'

A letter Uri wrote to Andrija while on a flight just before Christmas 1973, and came to light after it was sent from Holland to Uri in 1998 by Puharich's first wife, similarly reveals a great deal about what was in Uri's mind at this troubled time. Some of the meaning is a little obscure, but it would be difficult for the harshest critic reading it to deny its sincerity. On United Airlines stationary, the letter is addressed in capitals, 'TO ANDREA'. (In two years of knowing Puharich, Uri had not picked up the correct Serbian spelling of his name.) 'Words mean nothing if feelings don't cry,' he wrote. 'A lot we struggled for GoD in heaven but on the road we stopped. Never, never have I in my mind body or soul thought but about you. For me inside, I am still proud to know you Andrea. Whatever your decision is, to stop or keep going, I will understand your human feelings. I truly care about the mission. I also care about my people, so I asked you to trust my feelings towards you and Spectra. and if you still don't want to hear me or feel my wanting you, then maybe this is how it has to come to an end, although I don't feel so. Still loyal to you. Uri.'

In the end, Jack Sarfatti and Uri are still good friends.

This is a photo of Jack and Uri taken last month on Jacks "business trip" through his "privately funded" research after ditching DARPA...they did not pay enough.  Bored

Update on Alabama Red blob on Radar of June 5th News reports in the Alabama Area:

June 5th is when the Radar blob occurred in Huntsville.  five days later just south in Birmingham they did a DNA/survey testing.

On June 5th (around the same time as the Huntsville radar blob which reported NO whether anomalies) approximately 100 miles away in Birmingham, south of Huntsville there was flash flooding.

Also, I ran into an update that is interesting:

On the DNA testing done five days later...It turns out this is not the first time it's been reported they have done this testing in that particular area.  They did it in 2007 as well.  There were also five road blocks in the area for this survey.

Bibb County Sheriff Keith Hannah offered more details about the roadblocks in his county Tuesday. Hannah told TheDC that there were five roadblocks in Bibb County this weekend. He stressed that the samples were given voluntarily and that this was not the first time the county had participated in a study of this kind.
“It was a voluntary thing and they were compensated if they gave a DNA sample or a blood sample. The study group compensated them for it. If the motorist wanted to participate they could. If they wanted to go on, they were free to do so,” Hannah said Tuesday.

So....Sheriff Hannah admits they were in fact DNA samples as well.

Now correct me if I'm mistaken...but doesn't some of this technology that is in question  have something to do with weather conditions?  I'm not that savvy on the whether part of it....but I believe I've heard this might be the case with some of the HAARP and other technology ...that it can control the weather?

    Good Morning!  Brook

Any time I get a whiff of coffee in my investigation I'm so there!  Starbucks in particular....my personal favorite.  Naughty

Well my nose for investigation must have gotten a whiff of the cafe in a facility I discovered quite by accident.  Let me explain.

When I woke up I was considering this weather condition and the possible use of HAARP technology.  Then I remembered not long ago seeing that this technology might have something to do with earthquakes too.  So I searched for earthquakes in Alabama.  Lo and behold there was an earthquake a little over a month before June 5th recently.

    http://blog.al.com/breaking/2013/04/small_earthquake_detected_in_m.html

It's epicenter was at 34.558 degrees north latitude and 86.698 degrees west longitude

I used google map and just east of it is this really nice Junior ROTC facility...quite large and very nicely equipped.  It had six nice tennis courts, a baseball diamond and looks lovely for the Junior ROTC student I would suspect that goes there for training.  It looks like the spa of ROTC!

So I looked a little further east and (in fact right across the street)....that's when I got a whiff.  Starbucks!  I'm so there!

Where do you suppose they are going to send those DNA samples?  How about to the second largest Biotech facility in the US?  That just happens to serve Starbucks in their facility!!!  Which happens to be located on Genome Way:

    Things are just peachy there!

International team works toward sustainable peach

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Advancing work toward sustainable crops and sustainable fuels is among potential outcomes from a project undertaken by the International Peach Genome Initiative. The initiative, including researchers at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and the Department of Energy Joint Genome Institute, has completed the draft genome of peach, Prunus persica, and published findings in the March 24 edition of Nature Genetics.
“The peach genome project was undertaken primarily to provide a reference genome sequence to assist peach crop improvement,” said Jeremy Schmutz, faculty investigator at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and head of the plant program at DOE JGI.  Understanding the diversity of fruit types and disease resistance are two major categories of interest in crop improvement.
Additionally, peach is a very compact genome and provides a high quality reference for a tree. “This means that it will be very helpful to compare the genes and pathways of the peach to our woody tree crops of poplar and eucalyptus to assist in understanding and modifying wood formation for biofuel feedstocks,” said Schmutz.  He added that the DNA sequences of peach and poplar show the close relationship shared by the two trees.

According to a release by DOE JGI, rapidly growing trees like poplars and willows are candidate biofuel crops from which it is expected that cellulosic ethanol and higher energy content fuels can be efficiently extracted.  Domesticating these as crops requires a deep understanding of the physiology and genetics of trees. Scientists may gain insight from long-domesticated fruit trees.
The team compared 141 peach gene families to those of six other fully sequenced diverse plant species to identify unique metabolic pathways, such as those that lead to lignin biosynthesis—the molecular “glue” that holds the plant cells together—and a key barrier to deconstructing biomass into fuels.

In the United States, the initiative was funded by the Department of Energy Office of Science and led by researchers at the DOE JGI, the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, Clemson University, North Carolina State University and Washington State University. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Energy Biosciences Institute of the University of California, Berkeley also provided support for senior author Therese Mitros. The Italian government supported this effort, including the work of first author Ignazio Verde of the Fruit Tree Research Centre/Agricultural Research Council in Rome, Italy. Contributions were also made from research institutes in Chile, Spain, and France.
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the world’s top peach producers include China, Italy, Spain and the U.S.

Actually Brook - I don't know who. Personally I enjoy your en-depth investigations as they tend to trigger other areas to look into as well. When we step back to examine the data it is some what self-evident that these different events are inter-connected. More and more I'm convinced that the non-human element is in control and wonder how do we get rid of them. Is it even possible?

And please continue as we sort of know the who is behind this - the question is how is it possible to put a stop to what they're doing? And if we can't put a stop to it what steps do we need to take to protect ourselves.

    Good Morning!  Brook

Yes I sure Simon is a busy man and will wait for the time he can spend with us here.

In the meantime, you asked for it....and this has nothing to do with the Radar blob....but plenty to do  with what is going on in Huntsville at the moment.

I decided to take a walk down Genome Way.

Radar blob: 'Whatever it was' versus what we know it wasn't - Page 4 Mcmillian-park-2jpg-72ac5b2dd1838ac3

Let's see what's going on and discussed over their Starbucks coffee breaks at the Atrium Cafe in the facility.  Brook

Now I have a fertile imagination at times, and the first thing that popped into my mind after reading the following article was an old movie with a substance called Soylent Green.

Radar blob: 'Whatever it was' versus what we know it wasn't - Page 4 Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTLnwgWlKtvUJtVtSX0nuc92WnjECZ2Iwo32UOwYkpH6t_LJXBl

A future way to feed the hungry and sustain the population.  Well sort of....Bored

It seems this company in Huntsville is going to save the world and feed the hungry!  With what exactly?

New plant forms from Huntsville scientists could help feed world's hungry

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama -- Earth will have 2 billion more people by 2050, scientists believe, and Alabama could help develop the new plants, seeds and fertilizer to feed them.
That's the plan of two new clients of Huntsville's Hudson Alpha Institute for Biotechnology, who hope to take those discoveries to market.
The Kirchner Food Security Group and its affiliated Kirchner Private Capital Group announced partnerships with HudsonAlpha in February and are resident tenants at the institute in Cummings Research Park. This week, the food group's advisory board of scientists toured HudsonAlpha's laboratories.

Also on Kirchner's radar is the International Fertilizer Development Center in nearby Muscle Shoals, a world authority on food production.

Kirchner scientists believe crop genetics, plant genetics and animal genetics "are the most important tools in meeting future food needs," advisory board member Edwin Price Jr. said Friday. Price leads international agricultural research and teaching in the Texas A&M University System.

Agricultural research had slacked off in recent decades after years of abundant harvests, Price said, "and we are paying the price now" in food shortages and price instability.

Global "climate variability" is also an increasing issue, said advisory board member Gaetan Lussier. Drought this year in Canada led to lower crop yields and levels of nitrogen in corn and hay high enough to threaten animals who rely on those crops for winter feed, Lussier said. In normal rainfall years, Lussier said, plants grow tall and strong enough to release the nitrogen they absorb from the ground into the air.

    http://blog.al.com/breaking/2012/09/new_plant_forms_found_in_hunts.html

Now that's a lofty goal!  Probably well worth it?

Perhaps depending on exactly how they do this and what exactly is involved....what the heck is it EXACTLY? Genetically modified food that even rats have the good sense not to eat?  Perhaps they'll make it a bit tastier for the rats and people they intend on feeding it to?

A statement by Rick Myers the president of the company is thrilled by the Supreme Court decision not to allow the patent of Genes.

    http://hudsonalpha.org/statement-hudsonalpha-president-rick-myers

There must of been plenty of cheers in the Atrium Cafe...raising their cups of Starbucks in victory!

It makes their work so much easier and cost effective!  Now they can afford to have another Starbucks!  Brook

So you would think they are not in the patent business.  That all is well and this is a genuine effort to find ways to improve  the health and well being of those who would benefit from such research.

    Drum roll please

It seems they have established and been awarded a patent for a new, rapid response method to detect pathogens from clinical samples. The method— amplicon rescue multiplex polymerase chain reaction for amplification of multiple targets— is highly sensitive and as the name implies, can differentiate between pathogens that symptomatically display very similarly among populations. It is the first patent awarded for institute-generated intellectual property.

Say what???  Let me get another cup of coffee  and explain Brook

A pathogen (Greek: πάθος pathos “suffering, passion” and γενής genēs “producer of”) or infectious agent (colloquially known as a germ) is a microorganism—in the widest sense, such as a virus, bacterium, prion, or fungus—that causes disease in its host. The host may be an animal (including humans), a plant, or even another microorganism.

Do you see the irony in this?

The ARM-PCR method can be used to detect pathogens among patient populations, as well as in samples to monitor food safety,” said Jian Han, M.D. Ph.D, faculty investigator at HudsonAlpha and inventor of the new technology. “There are others applications for ARM-PCR as well,” said Han, “including areas in agriculture, biodefense and environmental remediation.” Han added that the ARM-PCR method is faster and more sensitive than other methods currently in the market.

The intellectual property has already been licensed to iCubate, a company with headquarters located in the HudsonAlpha facility.  Carter Wells, chief executive officer of iCubate, said the company has created an automated system that uses the new method to process samples in a closed, disposable cassette.  “The closed cassette will virtually eliminate opportunities for contamination,” said Wells.

“Intelligent, immediate, impact: These words help capture what iCubate wants to take into the marketplace,” added Wells. The company has also introduced an open platform for developing and marketing a variety of tests.

Of course they would oppose the patent of Genes....it would be so expensive to utilize their ARM_PCR patented technology to determine what genetic markers to follow now they have developed a system to wipe out contamination and further their research in modified genetics!  They would not be able to afford those cups of Starbucks at the Atrium Cafe located in the building across from Genome Way!

And what the heck are they planning to feed the hungry by the year 2050?!?

On a side note:  Speaking of tastier food for rat's and people they intend on feeding by 2050:

They are currently working on making a sweeter Bean for MARS INC.

Now that will feed the hungry eh?  It will certainly go great with their Starbucks!

Or...Perhaps they will genetically alter the human genome through behavioral modification and discovery

While saving the healthcare system you will learn to like what they feed you....Whoa!!!!!!!!!

Pass the Prozac please....it goes great with coffee  Brook

    Before taking Prozac
You should not use Prozac if you are allergic to Prozac, if you also take pimozide or thioridazine, or if you are being treated with methylene blue injection.
Do not use Prozac if you have taken an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction could occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
You must wait at least 14 days after stopping an MAO inhibitor before you can take Prozac. You must wait 5 weeks after stopping this medicine before you can take thioridazine or an MAOI.
Tell your doctor about all other antidepressants you take, especially Celexa, Cymbalta, Desyrel, Effexor, Lexapro, Luvox, Oleptro, Paxil, Pexeva, Symbyax, Viibryd, or Zoloft.
To make sure Prozac is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:

    • cirrhosis of the liver;
    • kidney disease;
    • diabetes;
    • glaucoma;
    • seizures or epilepsy;
    • bipolar disorder (manic depression); or
    • a history of drug abuse or suicidal thoughts.

Some young people have thoughts about suicide when first taking an antidepressant. Your doctor will need to check your progress at regular visits while you are using Prozac. Your family or other caregivers should also be alert to changes in your mood or symptoms.
FDA pregnancy category C. Taking an SSRI antidepressant during pregnancy may cause serious lung problems or other complications in the baby. However, you may have a relapse of depression if you stop taking your antidepressant. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant while taking Prozac. Do not start or stop taking this medicine during pregnancy without your doctor's advice.
See also: Prozac information from Drugs.com pregnancy and breastfeeding warnings (in more detail)
Fluoxetine can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing baby. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
Do not give this medication to anyone under 18 years old without medical advice.

Thus they would be most interested in the behavioral modification and Genetic damage caused by an ELF/EMP.  Collecting DNA on the side of the road afterward would be a great study.

If you haven't watched the two videos above, I recommend it.  On a personal perspective the woman who praises Prozac in the research done at this facility is an abomination.  Particularly after the following video and vote made unanimous.

Clearly they are using this kind of study to experiment and reap profit via the drug cartels which we all know is happening.

Clearly they are also missing something in their research and development, which would cause someone on such medication to commit suicide.

Do they give a good god damned?  Obviously not..it's just another avenue of study and more income.  On that note I'm off to work.

    Have a great day!

    Sunshine helps with depression
Vitamin B complex helps with depression
Swimming helps with depression (outdoors and swimming in most cases)
    Royal Jelly helps with depression
    Inspirational music helps with depression
Nuro biofeedback with the flicker lights actually heals the brain and clears up depression

For the life of me there are days I would love to strangle Big Pharma - make that every day.

All great advise...but they don't care about depression...they care about behavioral modification.  Red flag on the "modification"

Actually they care about control which includes behavior modification via drugs, media sources, social conditioning in the schools, electronic conditioning. Living in the hills away from all of the above or out of the US is helpful. No TV. Grow your own food. Away from cell phone towers and other sources of electronic conditioning.

Each month I wonder what's next.

Still drumming fingers... waiting for galactic wave to pass. Of course, the ice age can stroll on in this year as well. Brrr...

Our DNA is to be used by the future to mold humanity.  We are being herded, culled and bred just like any good animal eugenics program does in our current state.  Like we breed animals below, above does the same to us.  We are being catalogued, studied and experimented on for resource.    And all for the homeland.
