We are currently working on ways to protect our bees from the verroa mite which also screened bottoms on the hive where the mite can fall down through the bottom onto sticky paper underneath and not crawl back up into the hive where it can attack the bee.

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
As someone in the process of becoming a bee keeper and having studied this in Hawaii the primary problem is the verroa mite that attaches itself to the bee and is a lot like a tick. With respect the the nation, aside from the verroa mite, the other two primary issues were pesticides and GMO crops.

Tennessee is having a terrible time and I'm concerned with what is happening to those poor people. We've had rain and snow 24 days out of 30 this past month in NE Oregon and it is suppose to rain and/or snow for the rest of the next week. I suspect the Icelanic volcano put so much ash into the atomosphere that we will end up with a Spring that is winter and maybe a summer which may be more spring like in this area. Who knows... it's just wet and cold here. I suspect the weather is just as awful for other areas as well.

Thanks Carol. I didn't realize the amount of rain in Tennessee. I just came back from there. (before the rain started) They are getting pounded with up to 8 inches in areas today. The system just keeps bringing more moisture up from the gulf, and dumping it in this area.

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
You're welcome A2. All that ash creates moisture in the air. The last time the icelanic volcano blew I thought I read where the Northern Europe area went for two summers with winter like weather. I'm wondering what will happen this time and if the second volcano will go off 20 miles away. I have a son in London so my focus and concern covers that area of the planet as well.

Here is more strange weather, both in Northeastern US and in Alberta .
Spring delivers wintry wallop to East Coast
Late-season snowstorm dumps up to 2 feet of snow in N.Y., Vt., N.H.
MONTPELIER, Vt. - A rare late-season snowstorm dumped up to 2 feet of heavy, wet snow on northern New York and northern New England on Wednesday, giving school children an unexpected day off and forcing others to seek refuge from homes darkened by downed power lines.
The National Weather Service reported more than 20 inches of snow fell on the western slopes of Vermont's Green Mountains northeast of Burlington.
Thousands without power
At the peak of the storm Wednesday morning, about 30,000 customers were without power across Vermont, New Hampshire and northern New York. It could be Thursday before power is fully restored.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now I live in Ontario Canada, and I would say that spring is 3 weeks early. The leaves are out on the trees, and fruit trees are in blossom. Very strange indeed.

125 mph winds in Nevada hamper travel, cut power
updated 4:08 p.m. ET, Tues., April 27, 2010
RENO, Nev. - Winds gusting more than 100 mph have left thousands without electricity in Reno and caused travel havoc across northern Nevada.
The California Highway Patrol closed part of westbound Interstate 80 north of Lake Tahoe on Tuesday morning after wind flipped a truck on its side and snow began to fall. As much as a foot of snow was expected in the upper elevations by Wednesday.
About 5,000 homes and businesses were without power in Reno, where wind ripped off shingles, blew a school bus' door off its hinges and uprooted hundreds of trees, including a 70-foot-tall pine.

Iceland volcano update
Last updated: 0839 BST on Tuesday, 4 May 2010
Latest information from the Icelandic Meteorological Office has confirmed an increase in activity from the Iceland volcano Eyjafjallajökull.
As the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre for this area, the Met Office is continuing to provide timely information to NATS and CAA about the dispersion of the volcanic ash. This is in line with the new engine criteria set by the CAA and the aviation industry.
Current ash advisories bring the ash plume towards the north west of the UK.
Any decisions on airspace closures are the responsibility of the CAA and NATS and further information on the impacts of this increased activity should be sought from them.

Geomagnetic Storm Now in Effect - But Why?
Something unusual is happening with the Earth's magnetic field. It is uncommon for to see geomagnetic storms without the surge of greater than moderate solar activity. Perhaps we should be looking "down" instead of "up".

Meteor Activity Outlook for May 1-7, 2010
May is a fairly slow month for meteor activity. The Eta Aquariids are very active the first two weeks of the month then fade as the month progresses. The only other showers active this month are the weak Nu Cygnids, the Eta Lyrids, and the Antihelion radiant.

Something Not Quite Right in the Heavens
16 april 2010 by Mitch Battros - Earth Changes Media
http://earthchangesmedia.com/publish/article-9162528022.php
We had another geo-magnetic solar storm which began yesterday (Wednesday) and continues today. The Kp Index measures at -5- which describes a moderate storm. (see chart below). It may have been related to sunspot 11060 which did set off a small partial-halo CME (coronal mass ejection) as it was rotating around the western limb of the Sun.
Having said this, something seems unusual with the traditional cause and effect time-linked-means associated with plasma discharge. I would suggest it is not geo-magnetic storms we have historically witnessed over the past few millennia (maybe 2000 - 3000 years), but a more galactic-driven form of charged particle discharge. In other words, I believe the initial source comes from outside our solar system. I would suggest it comes from identified - and unidentified celestial orbs.
Celestial orbs include supernovas, brown dwarfs, black holes, dark matter, plasma fields, planets, asteroids, and comets. Something within our galaxy Milky Way (and perhaps outside) appears to be the cause of recent unusual geo-magnetic storms.
...
Something Else Is Going On Below the Surface
As a direct cause of geomagnetic flux, something seems a bit different with the Earth's Core. The sensitivity of Earth's tectonic plates is shifting more easily as it relates to external magnetic influence as illustrated in the "Dipole" theory.
As we have seen, recent earthquake and volcanic activity has increased in size and numbers. We have also witnessed an apparent direct correlation of seismic events with geo-magnetic storms. What seems peculiar is the current rash of earthquake and volcanic activity appears to be set off by moderate magnetic fluctuations. This is to say, historically, it was during large geo-magnetic storms ranging in the M-9 to X-5 class flares which would cause havoc. Today's events are occurring during modern activity.

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
Hmmm, if someone told me last year that I would be driving though a blizzard on May 5th and hiking through snow that is up to my knees on May 6th I would have told them they were crazy. This morning we had 10 deer on the side porch looking for food. We fed them the raisin bread and called for the snow plow so we can get out. It's been snowing for two days now and may continue off and on for a few days more. This is like Tennesee only we're up at the 5,000 foot elevation here with all of this moisture - likely created by the icelanic volcano. I expect cold summers over the next two years in this area.
Hawaii is looking really, really good about now.

Carol, two feet of snow is not easy to deal with. I grew up with storms like that all winter long. That's why I live in the South and you live in Hawaii! Don't we wish we had convinced our families to get out of the North? It could snow all summer for all we know.

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
DUBLIN — Iceland's volcano has produced a 1,000-mile-wide (1,600 kilometer-wide) ash cloud off the west coast of Ireland that will force western Irish airports to shut down again Friday, the Irish Aviation Authority announced.
The authority said shifting winds, currently coming from the north, had bundled recent days' erupted ash into a massive cloud that is growing both in width and height by the hour.
Eurocontrol, which determines the air routes that airliners can use in and around Europe, says the ash accumulation is posing a new navigational obstacle – because the cloud is gradually climbing to 35,000 feet (10,500 meters) and into the typical cruising altitude of trans-Atlantic aircraft. Until recent days, the ash had remained below 20,000 feet (6,000 meters).
