    God bless those people..

French lawyers to sue Sarkozy over crimes in Libya

Two French lawyers said they planned to initiate legal proceedings against French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Monday for crimes against humanity over the NATO-led military campaign in Libya.

Jacques Verges and Roland Dumas (R and L in the photo respectively) offered to represent the families who fell victims of the NATO bombing campaign.

Dumas, a former socialist minister, said the NATO mission, which was meant to protect civilians, was in fact killing them.

He denounced what he described as ’a brutal assault against a sovereign country’ and said he defends victims of NATO bombings.

IRNA reporter in Paris said that Dumas and Verges, who visited Libya, were impressed with violence and brutality against innocent people perpetrated by NATO.

Despite Western denial of civilian casualties caused by the two-month-old bombings, Dumas said he had seen several civilian victims at a hospital and had been told by one of its doctors that there were as many as 20,000 victims.

"At the moment we have been retained, we have a mandate on behalf of the victims of the military bombardment of NATO, who carried out their military action against civilians with the artificial — very artificial — cover of the United Nations," Dumas said.

No. They attacked Libya for the same reason they attacked Kuwait, Iraq and now Libya - oil.

The goal is to get control of mid-east oil, devalue these countries money to pennies on the dollar, buy it up cheap - when the new governments are seated and their dinar is revalued - they cash in and make a fortune.

US Senate panel approves campaign in Libya

The US Foreign Relations Committee has given President Barack Obama limited authority to continue the US military operation against Libya in Tuesday’s vote. The vote was 14-5 in favor, with the resolution imposing a one-year limit on US intervention and prohibiting the deployment of US ground forces. Last Friday Congress had overwhelmingly rejected a similar resolution.

    France admits arming Libyan rebels

France has admitted that it has been supplying Libyan rebels with weapons, a measure not officially allowed by the UN Security Council resolutions 1970 and 1973. French military spokesman, Col. Thierry Burkhard, said on Wednesday the deliveries took place in early June in the western Nafusa Mountains when civilians were encircled by Gaddafi’s forces and Tripoli refused to allow a humanitarian corridor there. Thus, France became the first NATO country to openly announce it had armed the opposition fighters. Burkhard told the Associated Press that the weapons, including machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades and munitions, were parachuted to rebels in the area south of the capital. UN resolution 1970, which was adopted on February 26, imposed an arms embargo, preventing weapons from being supplied to anyone in Libya. However, UN resolution 1973, which established a no-fly zone over Libya, allowed “to take all necessary measures, notwithstanding paragraph 9 of resolution 1970 (2011), to protect civilians and civilian-populated areas under threat of attack in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.” The unrest is continuing in Libya, where the fighting between the forces of Muammar Gaddafi and rebels, backed by the international forces, has reached a stalemate.

France supplies arms to Berber tribes to fight Gaddafi

France is secretly supplying weapons to Berber tribes to fight the forces of embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Le Figaro newspaper reports. A source in the French military told the paper that the French air force have been parachuting arms to the tribes living in the mountain region to the south of the Libyan capital. The source said that France has taken the step because of the stalemate in the rebels’ struggle against the regime of Colonel Gaddafi. The high-ranking military official expressed hope that a popular uprising may start in Tripoli if rebels advance on the Gaddafi stronghold. France has been taking the most active participation in the NATO operation in Libya.

    Don't trust them Muammar

    SNIP

"Rumours are flying around about NATO offering an under-the-table deal to Colonel Gaddafy to step down and receive a declaration of immunity in return. This brings two notions into play: first, NATO's word has as much credibility as a spiv in a shell-suit and secondly, have those behind this ill-conceived crusade finally seen the folly of their actions?

When you receive an offer from NATO, there are two things you should do: remember the guy in a scruffy raincoat who hangs out behind the local train station hissing at passers-by: "Hey man, you wanna buy a second-hand Romanian wristwatch?" and secondly, say No!

Why? Because NATO has lied time and time and time and time and time again. NATO lied to Russia, stating it would not move eastwards and encroach into former Warsaw Pact countries and look where it now stands - encircling Russia from the Baltic States to the north, down through Poland to Bulgaria to the west, Turkey to the south and as if that was not enough, is making overtures to Georgia, a thorn in Russia's side as was so admirably demonstrated by Tbilissi's act of slaughter not so long ago (Summer of 2008).
The fate of Georgia, it is true, would be the fate of NATO if it tried anything on, namely a hail of missiles so thick they would blot out the sun before a crater twenty kilometres either side of a military build-up appeared on the other side of Russia's borders. As the Georgian troops and their military "get back inside" (Southern accent) advisers found out, the Spetsnaz are a force to be reckoned with, as are the soldiers from the Chechen divisions, the darlings of the West, as the western mercenaries among the Georgians felt only too well.

The same nations invented barefaced lies to create a casus belli against Iraq, where none existed, lying that Saddam Hussein's government had tried to get yellowcake uranium from Niger, then forging documents to back up the claim, then getting their (pig-)ignorant media to claim Baghdad was trying to obtain it from (wrong country) Nigeria; then there was a doctoral thesis copied and pasted from the Net providing "wonderful intelligence" for Colin Powell to present to the UNO. We had chemicals factories which were providing milk for babies and we had evidence of WMD and pinpointed locations as to where it was, except it did not exist. As Saddam Hussein himself said.

"1,108 Libyans killed in NATO attacks"
Tripoli to prosecute NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen for “war crimes.”

    SNIP

"Libya's prosecutor general has said that NATO airstrikes have killed more than 1,100 civilians and injured thousands of others since the end of March.

Mohamed Zekri Mahjubi told foreign journalists in Tripoli on Wednesday that he intends to prosecute NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Libyan courts for “war crimes.”

"As NATO secretary general, Rasmussen is responsible for the actions of this organization which has attacked an unarmed people, killing 1,108 civilians and wounding 4,537 others in bombardment of Tripoli and other cities and villages," Mahjubi was quoted by AFP as saying. "

I have a better solution . The Libyan Prosecutor should issue an international bounty for the head of General Rasmussen . Wanted dead or alive payment in Gold coins !
This would be an example do it yourself justice . When the UN is a corrupt and rigged organization and the international justice is in the hands of corrupt judges do it yourself justice should be given a chance !

If anyone recalls the other time-line, Muammar Gaddafi was killed off years ago. Too bad they didn't keep him on the 'il est morte' list on this timeline.
