Aurora Borealis at Birch Lake
I just wanted to share with the Coast family this Aurora Borealis shot I took last month (4/08) on
Birch Lake about 60 miles south of Fairbanks, Alaska. My bride and I were parked on the lake
listening to the water slapping the underside of the ice along with the ice flexing sounding just like
a shotgun blast in the distance. Ice thickness was still 40" to 35" thick but my bride still didn't like it
too well to say the least.
Then the aurora decided to show after waiting a few hours.
