This is really sad. I saw friends of mine starting to leave the country about 8 years ago. Some have since returned but the trend is there. And for the most part it is those who have independent incomes that do this. I was just recently thinking of Fiji myself or somewhere in the Philiphines where the American dollar still has a bit of clout. There are places in Europe I really like too but financially it is too much of a stretch. I guess we'll just have to tough it out a bit longer in Hawaii.. then Oregon.
