Thank you Mudra for this valuable lesson from Mooji on diference between eternal soul full of knowledge, bliss and eternity ( SAT, CHIT, ANANDA) and temporary body and constantly changing mind which are the source of misery if not controlled. This basic lesson is a start of spiritual practices. Without realization "who are we" would be very difficult to make any progress. On another hand with all do respect Mooji should be honest and just teach this basic truth. Unfortunately he one of those misleading teachers who claims that we can enjoy in this world and still make progress on our spiritual paths. In other words we can eat the cake and have it too.
Bellow is excerpt from BBC article :

"The lazy man’s way to enlightenment?

To belong, it’s not, at all, necessary to abstain from worldly pleasures.

Mooji, for example, enjoys a nice plate of chicken or duck and is a big fan of the British TV talent show, The X Factor.
Mooji has called his approach, the lazy man’s way to enlightenment.

“This is a kind of religion without religion, without doctrine,” Mooji, his accent somewhere between Calcutta and Kingston, explains after his New York satsang.

It’s this easy path to enlightenment – his devotees line up after satsangs to receive a big hug from him like children waiting to see Santa –that’ve made Mooji such a popular guru.

“Mooji gives his devotees what they lack most of all – not enlightenment, but love,” said a visitor to a satsang.

Perhaps Mooji is so good at giving people what they want, and need, because he’s been in need often in his own life."

Mooji reminds me of the laughing buddha Rasa. Out of this world as a spirit and yet fully with it honoring the flow of Creation through it's many forms. The minds holds us in separation but Love is a blissfull state through which judgement fades away .
Is'nt it all about striving to realize our own divine state .

Yes, that's true but we don't have to loose our commonsense.

Yes, that's true but we don't have to loose our commonsense.

I was going to bluntly say " yes this is true too Rasa" :)
But I carefully listened to that word " commonsense " .
Does it imply that would be a sense we would all share in common ?
To me this is contrary to Consciousness's growth .
Our experience on this plane is a very subjective one .
We all relate to events in a different way .
It has become "commonsense" that if you don't eat you'll die for example yet the Breatharians are showing us living on prana is possible and that the ingestion
of solid food is'nt necessary at all .
It is "commonsense" in this world to say we will all die one day.
Yet spiritual masters remind us time and again we are the eternal .
It is "commonsense" to say that if you don't eat meat your diet is unbalanced and yet vegetarians
have proven they can strive in a healthy body without meat .
It is "commonsense" that when someone is ill with the flu you should'nt go near them or hug them
because you'll catch the illness . Yet I hug everyone that has a cold or flu and never caught it myself in return..
It is common sense that if you burn yourself on a stove you will feel pain and be left with a mark .
Yet in my own experience the times I did burn myself that way I calmy confronted the hurt area sending
love and peace to it and I would feel no pain at all .
You see the list can go on and on ... "commonsense" in a way is putting a belief there and push it forward
so others will adhere to it too rather than let people think of their own
and maybe find they will come with a totally different answer .

I love the following story that shows how the mind can clutter the natural flow that Consciousness is:

    Muddy Road

Tanzan and Ekido were once travelling together down a muddy road. A heavy rain was still falling.

Coming around a bend, they met a lovely girl in a silk kimono and sash, unable to cross the intersection.

"Come on, girl," said Tanzan at once. Lifting her in his arms, he carried her over the mud.

Ekido did not speak again until that night when they reached a lodging temple. Then he no longer could restrain himself. "We monks don't do near females," he told Tanzan, "especially not young and lovely ones. It is dangerous. Why did you do that?"

"I left the girl there," said Tanzan. "Are you still carrying her?"

I like that story Mudra. ( I quote that often) It shows levels of advancement. For some it's still important rigid rules and regulations, for others Love is already achieved.
    But back to "commonsense".
    There are things that are commonsense and the list also can go on forever. Such as ;
everyone that is born has to die (we the soul are eternal) but death of the body is at a 100% rate in this world.
    Sun comes up every morning
    moon comes every night
    Love brings bliss
    hate brings misery
    Absolute Truth is One
    many truths are not absolute
temporary things can not bring lasting happiness
    snow is cold
    fire is hot
    birth mother is one.......etc.

If commonsense doesn't sound right then we can say: one should never surrender his intelligence.
But our understanding of things always will depend on what are we looking for. Because we selectively place our intelligence were our desires are. Some are seeking fast and easy fix for spiritual enlightenment. Some seek subtle enjoyment thru adoration, fame and spiritual knowledge. Some are tired of playing with the material energies of this world and seek nothing but the Supreme Truth. Yet others are simply exploring the spiritual paths. So of course the definition of truth in this sense also will be seen from different angles.

Thank you Rasa . Yes I like that " one should never surrender his intelligence " . I can relate to what you said above . The supreme Truth is One and always yet how each of us come to know it is multiple. It's like we are all looking at the Sun in different ways ... I tend to see the soul's journey as one through the four seasons . Ultimately spring and summer come again illuminating our path and dissipating all clouds we gathered around us during winter . The vedic yugas...

    HEARTBREAK
    by Jeff Foster

Life is here to break your heart over and over again
until you realise that heartbreak is life too.

And then your heart can no longer be broken.
    Or fixed.

And you stand naked in front of life, moment by moment,
knowing that whatever happens is totally okay

even in the midst of perfect devastation,
which, of course, is devastating perfection.

This is freedom beyond the speaking of it.

    THIS STRANGE PLACE
    By Jeff Foster

Can we meet beyond the story of us,
    in the place beyond expectations,
    and hold each other there?

Can we meet beyond the dream of tomorrow,
and rediscover what is here today,
so that today becomes tomorrow, effortlessly?

Haven’t we always been meeting like this,
here at the edge of the world,
    where everything is possible?

This strange place seems so familiar.

Human Grace, based on Amazing Grace

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CSdd6cckMw&feature=channel_video_title

    Lyrics:

When we were young we watched the birds
    And wanted to fly free,
And now we know our hearts can soar
We are one with all we see.

There was a time when we were taught
    To judge, fear and compete.
    I felt alone and scared of you;
Didnt know how to be me.

When shame is used to raise our kids
They learn they need to hide,
But Source has made us as we are
    To share what is inside.

Lets feed our spirits and our hearts,
Lets turn our shame to flight,
Lets be aware of what we do,
    Be guided by the light.

    Well teach our children self‐respect,
    Well teach compassion too,
We know how hatred hurts ourselves,
    Hurting me when hurting you.

The Source has given us this earth,
    The forest and the sea
To find the balance with all life
    And live responsibly.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That helps us to be free.
Our hearts can soar when we sing out
Our love for you and me.
